Dear J

Today I went to the local farmers market. I bought the meat that you love.
This afternoon during quiet time your brother cried for you.
You still hold a large part of our hearts!
love you

you were loved...and you are mised

Dear J,
These days our house is filled with the sounds of children but at the same time there is an emptiness. I was just going through the bins of clothes looking for some shirts for your cousin Benny and there are bins of clothes that are there with your name on them, waiting for you to grow into them. But now that you are gone, I will need to find a new home for them.
Tears have come to my eyes a lot these last few days as there are lots of memories of you that are coming back because we have gone to the cottage this past weekend and I miss you a lot. Your height is marked on the wall with all the other cousins. Your photo is on the fridge showing your beautiful blue eyes and curly blonde hair. The toys that were 'yours' are here there and everywhere. Many neighbours at the cottage have asked about you. When they said goodbye to you last summer, they did not know that it was forever.  You are a special boy and you touched many hearts!
I just wanted to tell you again, that you were LOVED dearly for the 20 months that God blessed our family with you. Not just by your brother and I but by the many people in our lives.  I hope that your summer is going well. That you are able to spend lots of time out just like you love to. Your brother found a snail at the cottage and it reminded me how much you loved snails and were always keeping them as pets when you found them.
Maybe this summer you got your first bike and are learning to ride. I hope that your Nana and Papa are taking you to the park lots and maybe swimming. You were SO ready to be learning to swim.
Love you dearly and I hope you continue to love Jesus and let your little light shine!
love,
mom
